Chelsea 1 Tottenham 3: Dele Alli doubles up to break Spurs’ 28-year Stamford Bridge hoodoo

A the scene of one of their greatest humiliations in recent years, at a stadium where they had not won for 28 years, Tottenham Hotspur had their emphatic victory and it felt wholly appropriate that it was Dele Alli who claimed two of the goals and had a hand in the other. On his 100th Premier League appearance, it was Dele at the double, in fact.

It has been quite a week for Alli – dropped by England, his World Cup starting place in doubt with questions over whether he needs to buck up his ideas. This was a resounding response. The 21-year-old said he was “numb” to the criticism but it did not look like that as he cupped his ear after poking home Spurs’ third goal and the raucous celebrations spilled onto the pitch.

Those celebrations even included Harry Kane, who was warming up at the time. The striker eventually came on as a substitute – just three weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage

30 minute Victor Moses hands Alvaro Morata (Chelsea) the simplest of tasks from close range after the cross evaded the keeper, and he makes no mistake with his header into the left side of the goal. 1:0.

Before first half end ,Nice piece of skill by Christian Eriksen (Tottenham) as he collected a pass and fired an unstoppable thunderbolt into the roof of the net, leaving the goalkeeper stranded.

That was a nice football moment. Heung-Min Son (Tottenham) receives an amazing defence-splitting low pass on the edge of the box and blasts the ball towards the top left corner. Wilfredo Caballero guesses his intention and dives superbly to deny him with a remarkable save! Tottenham force their opponents to concede a corner.

Christian Eriksen (Tottenham) sends over a poor, overhit cross from the corner kick and the ball goes out of play. The ball is off of the pitch and it's a goal kick for Chelsea.

In 62 minute Eric Dier passes the ball into the penalty area. Dele Alli (Tottenham) collects it and quickly sends it into the right side of the goal via the post! The goalkeeper was helpless. 1:2!

In 66 minute Dele Alli (Tottenham) fires the rebound into the bottom left corner after the ball breaks to him in the box. The score is 1:3.
